So here we go....the last game against Utah for a time. 2 year break after this.

And it could be the last one ever. If BYU were to get a Big 12 invite (yeah right). Two years is a long time.

It's pretty clear that Utah is not going to be a dominant force in the Pac 12 in anything in the forseeable future. But the PAC 12 money has locked them into a certain trajectory.

But even then, I have to ask? Which program has more national visibility? I would argue BYU does. Because of the ESPN games.

Utah is disappearing into the PAC 12, but making a lot of money doing so.

That's the risk that BYU would take in the Big 12. But it's absolutely the right thing to do, because the alternative is death to the program.
