If grad school is your destination, yes. I'm only saying that a very good wage can be made from a basic CC education.

But if much higher education is your goal, then I agree, a university education is a necessity.

Plus, the education is in probably almost all cases, not as good. Inferior teachers and curricula.

For some, it's a good choice. BUt around here in Dallas with the people I deal with, it seems to be the default choice.

The smart kids that are well-off or minorities go to BYU. THe others go to community college. I wish some of them would go to A&M for example.

The State of Texas has a scholarship fund for low income residents so they can attend UT and A&M and other 4 year state schools. They announced it at my ward a couple of months ago. But I'm sure you're right that the word doesn't always get out to those who could use it.
