dropping out of school....
taking my money for tuition and heading to new orleans with some rafts and a truck and trailer full of food and water..... i wonder if that would be of any help to people. |

You know the answer
so don't even think about it for a moment longer.
Follow through with education. You save the world better by sticking to your plan, lending some assistance along the way. If you followed your plan, you'd end up disillusioned and still unemployable. Don't do it if you were for one moment serious.

heres the struggle....
archaea....
graduate school sucks.... and a masters degree in american studies is going to do absolutely zero for me. maybe subconsciously i really want to drop out and i see this as a 'valid' excuse to leave the damn institution an hour away from me right now even though im only 3 classes and a well written dissertation away from being achieving an advanced degree... how my trails differ from other people. truly im a blessed dude. |

they are saying on Fox that the first wave of boaters to go out and try to save people turned back after receiving gunfire.
I wonder if your ambivalence about your education/career mirrors your ambivalence about women? |

Fusnik,
Here's one suggestion: I had planned on driving from my home in San Diego to SLC to watch tomorrow's game. But after spending several sad hours watching the footage on CNN, I elected to stay home and watch the game on ESPN instead, and donate the amount I would have spent on gas and game to the LDS Humanitatian Services Katrina fund. That way I was able to help out somewhat, without paddling to New Orleans and just being shot at. |
