By the way - the other significant world even I remember from that era (actually, I think I was 4 or 5) was when my mom called me into the kitchen to watch, on the little TV she had in there, Richard Nixon stepping out of the plane when he resigned over Watergate - she told me that this was a very important thing that was happening, something that would be in my history books when I was older, and that I should remember that I saw it happening. So I did.

Yes, that was a day of extreme importance on many different levels. It was also the day that I arrived in this world. August 9, 1974 to be exact.
