Is this the place at 9th S and 9th E? If so, I too have walked into the back room and then uncomfortably perused for a few moments, acting like I had meant to go in there, before I walked back out.
I actually did something similar at a "black" barber shop once. I stood there uncomfortably until a very nice older gentleman said "son, we don't cut white people hair in heeyah."
