Isnt Maruchan the normal kind you just get at the grocery store? the 10 for a buck stuff?

I like noodles with egg, so I have done that. Admittedly, I have not used your recipe.
We actually have a Costco case of ramen in our garage for when the kids crave it. I pledge to go home and use your recipe to see what's up. Just to clarify, I am kind of confused. You say to "drain" the noodles, but then you instruct to simply place them back into the same kettle of water anyway. What is the purpose?
