A very Mike-ish move for me.
Guys come by all the time with trees they are selling cheap. I have always passed but my lansdcaper had told me December was the right time to plant them here anyway. This guy had a pickup truck full of Red Oaks for $75 each, including labor for planting. So I either got 5 oak trees for $375 ... or they will die and I got ripped off. But my guy's price for the same tree is $125. We shall see. |

You got ripped off. I pay $0 when I go to the park and dig them up.

Actually, every now and then I see signs around for free trees, usually when they are getting ready to bulldoze for new construction. So that woudl be the true cheap guy's way to do it. |
