In 1995 my dad got internet at home. I don't remember who it was through, but we had a limited number of hours -- something like 50 hours a month.

I was playing "Usurper" on a BBS at some point in the early 90s I'd guess. Text-based computer games were the poo.
Edit: Ok Usurper was creator in 1993, but was based on "Legend of the Red Dragon," which came out in 1989. I remember now that L.O.R.D was my favorite, but that I switched to Usurper because there were a lot more people playing that game on my BBS. Those were the days. I was a latecomer, I didn't use it until my freshman year in college, fall 1997. At first I thought that email addresses had to be entered exactly as they appeared, including the name and symbols, for example: "Tyler Williams" <twill@mail.utah.edu>. They all bounced of course, so I only wrote to those who I could use the reply function on.
