But it's hard to blame the guy. People eat this stuff up. It's like having a license to print money.

Wow, there is a lot going on out there in the Mormon art? world of which I am horribly unaware. Cheezy and emotionally manipulative, yes; but I'm sure it speaks to a certain demographic. It means something to them.

Like I said, the little girl looks just like my niece. She would really a get kick out of it and I'm sure it would touch her.

Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Maybe some enterprising elder should send a copy to Joakim Noah.

Hyrum, you'd make a good Mormon.

Yes he would.

Hyrum, would you like a visit from the representatives of the LDS church that are in your area? We could arrange that for you.

Is this the same person who painted the stuff I saw in the American Fork costco over Thanksgiving? That guy has an entire kiosk or stand at that Costco. I wonder why they put his stuff all the way in the back corner near the refrigerated area? If I were the store manager, I would put his paintings by the more high-traffic stuff, like the TV that plays the live Celine Dion DVD on a loop.

I'll start buying some of those paintings once Kirkland starts putting them out at a more reasonable price.

By chance I spoke to a couple of elders in the grocery store parking lot just last night. They approached me. Though we parted amicably (I'm really a nice guy), they probably wished they hadn't pursued me when I first waved them off saying, "Yes I know all about the Mormons, more than they would like me to know." They shouldn't send such ignorant youngsters out in the field as these two.
