Ward Clerks have
assistant clerks,
financial and membership clerks who can attend. Plus we can dump it off to the executive secretary, .

I have never once seen an asst. clerk in a bishopric mtg. or ward council or PEC.

then your ward clerk doesn't know how to delegate
it's a speciality of mine.
Of course, when I'm not racing or traveling, I'm there, honestly. My bishop believes I race and travel too much. Maybe so, but I'm not campaigning to be the next bishop. If he believes I'm too irresponsible, maybe I won't get anything next time, too bad for me. I do get my work done, but because I believe in efficiency, not meetings, it's gets done in the minimal amount of time.

I am the exec. secty in my ward
and no one dumps meetings on me. I keep the bishop happy and don't worry much about the others, as I think it out of my purview. I am also on the ward mission committee so I need to attend all correlation meetings as well. Our clerk doesn't have any way to get out of meetings that I can see. I think he goes to more than me.
