So you're one of those who checks himself out of humanity?

No, he's just one of those that finds it somewhat boring. I kept flipping back and forth to other shows. I remember the athletes coming in, flipped away. Came back and I saw the bus and a bunch of dancers, then the bus opened up, then flipped away. Came back and Rogge was speaking, flipped away. Came back and there was something I thought was the leaning tower of Pisa, but wasn't, flipped away. Came back and there were some fireworks, so I figured it was over. I probably got the order wrong. I checked myself out of humanity off and on.

I didn't watch it. Instead I watched a movie about a bunch of kids getting killed, on UtahDan's recommendation.

I was glued to the TV all week until we were left with diving and rythmic gymnastics. At least they brought us all down easy. What do I do this week?

Great article. I watched the closing ceremony for about 10 seconds, and I was thinking "what the hell is this bus doing?" The London Olympics is guaranteed to be an embarrassment to Western Civilization. |

I agree. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if this didn't herald the end of the British Empire itself.
