Just out of curiosity, Cali, have you watched her 2006 Republican gubernatorial primary debate?

Probably as much as you did. I didn't see the portion York describes, but apparently she also talked about the death penalty.

Not only do WE not know what her positions are, but, if you two are to be believed, neither does she.
What I meant was that I thought it unlikely she was prepared to state a full platform (which is quite a bit different than tossing out some half-cocked blow-hard opinion on a semi-anonymous message board) at the time of her nomination. Moreover, she will need time to assimilate all of McCain's positions, compare them to her own thoughts, determine where there are differences and be sure she is preapred to explain those to the press and the public. I am not offended that she might need or want a week or so for this to happen. Plus, I do nto see this as a tragedy for american democracy (just typing this makes me chuckle).

Not really. Hard though it may be to believe, I actually rip these posts off between working during the day. While it is obvious I don't spend much time on accuracy of typing, I also sometimes dont' pick my words as carefully as I probably should, especially in the face of an impending disaster for American Democracy.

Now, if your goal here is to show that I have contradicted myselrf, go ahead. Shoudln't be too hard and you will pobrbalky find exactly one person that cares. iF your goal is to whine, moan and compain about Palin not giving interviews, then maybe you should rest up a littel until after she has spoken with Charlie.

Cali is more concerned about Palin than McCain. Why? Because Palin's perceived inadequacies more closely mirrors Obama's inadequacies than McCain's. Speaks volumes.

A big mistake the Obama campaign is making is running against Palin. Why pit your presidential candidate against the other team's VP candidate? Why elevate this seeming political light weight to the same level as your presidential candidate? Why bring the focus on what is probably your candidate's most glaring weakness?

They should have just said, "Interesting pick." and moved on to juxtaposing the young, focused, energetic Obama against the old, confused, all crippled up McCain, making Palin a non-entity.

Instead, they are making such big deal of this whole press issue and getting people all excited about when Palin finally talks to the press. Any guess for the ratings for that Charley Gibson interview? Aimed right at the Palin target market. What happens when she hits another home run (which is the most likely outcome given the nature of the program)?

Palin continues to knock Obama and his cronies off their game. Pretty good for a political neophyte.

Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

For those who care (ie, those who think the dearth of Palin info is a national tragedy for democracy):

Here's a C-SPAN interview for Sarah Palin. According to the Corner (I personally haven't watched it all), she discusses "changes in Medicaid rules, about unfunded mandates, about energy policy, tax policy, environmental issues, and more."

Note: she apparently does not discuss Iraq, Oprah, or the type of tin foil used in Obama sycophants' hats. For that, you'll have to wait for Charlie Gibson.

Part 2:

Part 3:

I wouldn't worry about it. It was just Sarah Palin blathering on and on about "issues". But she did look great. I love her frames. Kazuo Kawasaki. Very high end and shiny.
