1. Poinsettia bowl did not send a representative to the BYU/UU game.
2. If BYU fell to the Poinsettia bowl, they could end up playing Lousiana-Lafayette. |

Yes, I just don't see LV passing on an almost guaranteed sellout. As much as they may or may not hate the idea of BYU four years in a row, I think they'd rather have the money.

why hasn't that LV bowl already selected BYU? For appearances of a fair shake for TCU?
It would be to the bowl's advantage to decide early--would help ticket sales. |

TCU is ranked 11th in the BCS. Maybe they are the LVB's first choice, and need to wait another week to see whether they'll be available. For appearances sake, TCU wouldn't want to accept a lesser bowl this early.

TCU has not been "released" for acceptance yet by a non-BCS bowl. But BYU is released. LV Bowl could choose BYU today. They cannot announce TCU today.
If your intention is to choose BYU all along, then why go through the formality of waiting until TCU is released. |

Whoa. BYU vs. Notre Dame in the Poinsettia bowl. That would be a barn-burner. |

This says TCU vs BSU in the Poinsettia. That would put BYU in the LV bowl against probably Arizona. Exciting. Gosh, how long has it been since we played AZ? One year? |
