Default They guy who irrevocably changed my church life

is back in my ward.

He was in our ward, until about 3 years ago, when he moved out to join the Spanish-speaking ward, because his brother was called as Bishop.

Well, he had been called as Scoutmaster 2 months before choosing to switch wards.

And the rest is history. They moved me in as scoutmaster.

BUT, now he is BACK. Lord, I think it is time for payback. What say ye?

Is there justice in this world? We shall see.

I'm not following on how he changed your church life.

If he had stayed, I would not have been scoutmaster.

Smart man, this one. Next time I called as SM, I'm moving to the Spanish ward as well.

I see. I should probably start watching an extra hour of Spanish TV. Just in case.

Just for the sake of brushing up on the language, of course.

In his testimony that he bore on Sunday, he made it very clear that he had had the Bishop's permission to switch wards. Which I'm sure is true.

The worst part of my ward is how transient it is. All the younger couples move in and out, so much so, that we have more tenure now than any of the younger couples (outside the two that grew up in the ward).

It's hard to see your friends all move away. Then again, one day it will be my turn to move away. But, I should add, I feel as close to the current people, as much as I ever did the people that already moved away.

In reality, I wouldn't trade having been SM. It's been tough, I haven't been the best SM, and it has taken a lot of time.

And yes, I am burned out. And yes, I had to give up a lot, both in terms of my interests and time with my family. But someone has to do it. And it just happened to be me.

I'm telling you Mike, just say no.

And you can say it without feeling guilty.
