Freshmen and sophomores. The last time we had a team this inexperienced we won one game all season.

That team had no talent.

This team won 20 more games though. My point is there is no reliable gauge for how a BYU team with no upperclasmen is supposed to do. All comparisons you can make to other BYU teams have to be made to teams with more experience.
But these teams are ranked below BYU on the rpi today and have at least as much talent. They also aren't as inexperienced as BYU. Ohio State Syracuse Texas A&M Indiana Georgetown

by the end of the season they all end up looking roughly the same anyway, despite the rpi's flaws.
We can run this same exercise with pomeroy: Iowa Pittsburgh Texas Memphis UConn

is there a website that has the +/- for the Gonzaga game? I'm curious about that.
Braiden Shaw probably had the worst minus. He was awful. Mistake after mistake. I'm curious about how Emery stacked up. |

Tonight the Conference Tourney most likely ends, as SMC plays much more disciplined than BYU.

SMC works BYU over every single time now. It is frustrating and embarrassing that the lads haven't learned a damn thing in three games.

Huge mismatch at the guard position. SMC guards are just way better than the BYU guards.
Like I said before, the best of Australia are better than the best of the Lone Peak catchment area. On both ends of the court the SMC guards dominated. Look at what a huge mismatch Hermanson is against Emery. It's like a man playing against a boy. Arguably a spoiled, arrogant, bratty boy. Emery has had his ass handed to him so many times this year, you think he might finally start to consider the idea that what he is doing is not working. That he is dealing with limited physical advantages, so if he is to win, it will be based on IQ and craftiness, of which he has demonstrated short supply. Mika had a terrible game. So many turnovers, not valuing the ball or possessions. |
