Ray Nagin is bush league...
maybe I am cynical, but I think his many attempts to try to get black Americans to return to N.O. have more to do with shoring up his base than it has anything to do with helping people.
The guy knows his political career is over without radical changes in demographics. |

Oddly, I read that he was voted into office by receiving over 90% of the white vote but less than 50% of the blcak vote. I personally think he is just short-sighted and loose-lipped.

His Comments
Were down right scary. Not only that, but he tried to back track and say what he "really" meant to say...anyone else catch his comments and have an opinion?

I heard his comments and could not stop laughing. First off, he spoke like a televangelist, much different from all of his clips from the hurricane. You could tell he was speaking to a "chocolate" audience.
In the clips when he said new orleans would always be a chocolate city, he used chocolate interchangeably with african-american, so his "chocolate" recipe he gave in response to the reporter was even more funny. Later, he apologized for what he said, making it more obvious that his chocolate recipe was even awesomer  |
