Ullrich to win the TdF?
Lance says so:
http://sports.yahoo.com/sc/news;_ylc...=afp&type=lgns What do you all think? I think Lance is being nice to an old adversary. Unless Der Struedel-meister has more left than he showed last year, I can't see him haning with Valverde or Basso. |

Basso really impressed me last year, especially in the mountains. He's my pick for this year. He was a bit weak on the final time trial last year, and as such I am assuming that Lance feels like Ullrich will win the race in the TT.
I would have liked to have seen Valverde complete the tour last year at full strength. That would have definitely set up some interesting dynamics leading up to this year. Other contenders - it's hard to count out Vino, assuming they can put together a good team for him this year. Rasmussen = good climber, likely repeat for KOM competition, but just like last year will get dropped in the TT. |

My money is on Basso. I'd put Ullrich in second.
