Is that you Rodney?

Or shall I say "Bishop"? It does have a nice ring to it.

OK, I admit it. I am part of a vast anti-Tex conspiracy. We have monthly dues, officers, secret handshakes, and everything.

And don't call me "bro". I'm the "dude", man.

But if you're interested in "changing the pace", you could start by retracting your "crass" statement below, particularly since it appeared in a thread where I was making a concerted effort not to exude such.

It's reality, bro. Own up to it.
A "concerted effort?" I might take you more seriously, except even in your signature (and pretty much every signature you have ever held both here and on CB) you take jabs at people. Your focus appears to be on marginalizing an opponent as opposed to actually engaging in worthwhile discussion.

Sharpton arrived in Salt Lake City Sunday evening and was greeted at the Grand America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City by LDS apostle M. Russell Ballard. The two men chatted for two hours over dinner, discussing areas of shared concerns and places where their respective faiths can work together.
I sure hope President Ballard didn't break the Sabbath by eating out and (gasp) making someone work on Sunday. There article didn't say where they ate. It is my belief that an Apostle of the Lord would not be a hypocrite and dine out on the Sabbath. If he did, you can count on me to exploit it anytime anyone gives me grief about my Sunday activities.

I feel like Michael Moore is lecturing me on weight loss.

Yeah, this whole thread is grossly mislabeled.

Tex, let me echo creekster's comments. My observation is that you often greet the world by breaking through the door when a simple knock will do. I find your viewpoint valuable here (particularly when I agree with you) but the rancor throws a cloud over it.

Just a friendly suggestion.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.
