There's no way this thread doesn't end in bloodshed.

Sure, but that's probably just a case of swapping one set of problems with another set of problems.

In the spartan lifestyle of our nation's holiest of holies military institutions dating and the following horizontal bopping takes a backseat to the development of the leaders of America's 21st century.

We did nail Navy a few times when I was a cadet, god willing we will again.

I think most LDS women who aren't mothers that know by age 25 will stand accountable to god for their slothful service to the kingdom of God.

However, my old man wasn't a mormon until he found out before the unit gets wet the whole mortal tabernacle needs to get wet. So go and use your thang to recruit for the glory of God!

I think that depends on the gals status. If she has BYU gal status, I think she can safely hole out for not only a mormon, but she should hold out for an active mormon who has served a full 2 year mission.

Requiem, if you're really a female and over 25 and single and you've been limiting yourself to whacky single LDS guys, I have some very important advice for you. If you want to hear it let me know. Otherwise, I'm assuming you don't.

It should be noted that the woman in my example wasn't lamenting not getting married. She was lamenting the general lack of a social scene. It wasn't the BYU experience she'd been hoping for. Her sister never once mentioned marriage in our conversation.

Oh, and while my first thought in reading this thread (were it not my own thread) would have been "she's probably not very good looking". In reality, she's an attractive woman and would have a pretty universal appeal. Blonde, petite, smart and somewhat outgoing. My guess is that Pelagius ( I think it was Pelagius) was correct. She may not be as approachable as others.

I'm not really up on the BYU singles scene. But the few data points I have suggest something opposite from the original sentiment from the single BYU girls.

In the last five years:

Sister at BYU, married in first year.
Bro-in-law at BYU, married first year back from mission
Neighbors daughter, married first year at BYU
Several married BYU couples living in basement apt's in wards I've attended
BYU athletic teams: RM's seem to be getting married quite quickly off mission
