It's really a wonder they even decided to continue the program after the Trojans dropped two games last year. Though I have to admit it's quite admirable that you and Sipi stuck with the team all the way through to that disappointing Rose Bowl berth.

Don't let mikewaters get you down. At least you can afford the tickets!

Thank you for being a voice of reason, I have decided not to get rid of my season tix and will continue on the band wagon.

Ha...yeah, it was tough. 2 losses and SC still played in the Rose Bowl.

I think there is a collective malaise amongst SC faithful when the team loses, but there is also this unrealistic expectation that they have to win every single game.

I always enjoy the ride.....if they lose, it sucks, but oh, well. It is nice to be in a position where every single game you play has legitimate national championship implications.

well, the great thing about being a fan of a top tier school is that you can always make another run for the title the next year. It's not a once-a-generation kind of thing.

Is there some reward given, for example, to people that latch onto teams like the Yankees? Are they given some privileged position where they can claim lordship over all other fans, as if they have actually earned something on their own?

If any of you within earshot have ever been in rural Oklahoma, you would be filling up the urine bombs right now, just on the possibility that your school might schedule OU sometime in the next 10 years. White trash in Oklahoma actually give the white trash in other states a bad name. Mobile homes and confederate flags everywhere.
