It is a fact that Carroll plays freshmen and sophomores. You have no leg to stand on to claim that it is just the elite recruits who get those opportunities.
Dennis was pretty good until he tore his ACL, then he struggled academically for a few years and finally when he bounced back he tore his ACL again. I believe he was a 6th year senior this year but I could be wrong.

They probably made cat calls at her and since they were not RMs she wouldnt respond.

Love that avatar. Made me laugh that Majerus clearly elucidated that his penis was white when he instructed Doleac how close to defend his man. I doubt that impressed Mike Waters, however. When it came to Rick's tall and lanky wing players guarding a shorter guard, he used Donnie Daniels to demonstrate the proper distance.

Regardless, then your issue is with Jay's assumption regarding whether or not Kaveinga is the cream of the crop and not the idea that only cream plays at USC.

Regardless, once I became aware his father prefers the Trojans I made up my mind he was USC bound.
I agree that fans do not dictate playing time. I was referencing the notion that fans are generally aware if a certain recruit is of high calibre--much like everyone on CB and CG was excited about Kaveinga committing to BYU. SC fans are similarly high on Kaveinga.

Cream plays at SC, like any other school. I think Kaveinga is considered to be cream potential.

I wll now stop using the word cream when talking to a guy who just extended a lewd invitation to me earlier in the day.

Fifth year senior, I believe. Either way, if a guy can play, Carroll will get him on the field early. I'm pretty sure whether they are top half or bottom half of the recruiting pool doesn't really come into play.

If you want a serious answer, here are a few things about SC that do not scream ghetto. I will use BYU as a benchmark since I know you are a fan of BYU:

1. Better business school and law school. Likely better all around academics, period
2. More prestigious graduate research programs with much larger annual endowment
3. Average salary of exiting students much higher
4. Tuition is about 10 times as much per year as BYU, thereby attracting some of the wealthiest families to send their kids.
5. One of the greatest athletic traditions in all NCAA in all sports...championships, heismans, etc.
6. Old facilities....because the team has been playing for a long long time. And winning.
7. I've been to countless SC home games. The PAC does not allow beer sales at its home games. I am sure you know this. I have rarely come across terrible behavior, at least any worse than any other stadium.
8. when BYU played at SC, I sat in the BYU section, wore BYU gear, etc. we were treated very well by everyone. I havent heard many people (besides you) complain of their treatment when they went to that game.
9. The campus is in an awful part of town. No getting around that one. The campus itself is really nice. Not sure if you have ever walked around on it.
10. Not sure about the knock on the players. It looks like Reggie took cash, but I cant remember the last time SC was in trouble because its players were violent or getting arrested (Mark Sanchez snuck into the bar when he was a frosh). In contrast, BYU most recently has had rape allegations, or at the very least, group sex.

I could go on and on. Like i said, anytime someone uses the phrase "dumping ground of human debris" and is not TIC, the post is high on the unintentional comedy scale.

Fight On!
Don't feel too defensive DDD. BDB's comments about everything USC are a glowing recommendation compared to how she feels about the University of Utah. After all, RES is no place for a lady.

Steve Tate looked like quite the bitch when Mike Reed put him in the missionary position.

But that was at LES, nevermind just wanted a Steve Tate shot.

I bet she doesnt refer to RES as a ghetto of human debris. There arent really that many black people there. Also, are all Ute football players "low-life gang bangers," or is it just the black Ute players?

I will always Fight On for old SC, fight on to victory!

What's really funny is that DDD posted that lengthy defense of USC after stating in another thread that Utah county is "like Kabul, but with better skiing".
