As you noted elsewhere, I don't understand why one would take such risks. But public officials do all the time. Maybe there's something in their make up that leads to both running for office and getting favored by an intern just off the oval office.

What else lurks in Obama's closet?

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

It's called narcissism.

Obama's closet? What does this have to do with him?

I am under the impression that he was a client of the prostitution ring, not one of the leaders of the ring. Is someone reporting differently?

Not that either will be helpful for him.

Sounds like they found him through a cell phone record. Should have used a pay phone.

If it's true that the most successful politicians tend to think they can get away with what the rest of us can't, what does that imply about Obama? Might there be a couple of skeletons still in his closet?

Certainly there were lots of attractive women willing to sleep with Spitzer, but he did this. He might have survived an extramarital affair, though I understand his (attractive) wife is very admired in NY. Prostitution destroys him irremediably because it's one area feminists and religious folks see eye to eye, and it's a serious crime. I've never understood the attraction of prostitutes to some men who don't need to break the law or pay for it.

That $1.6 million mansion in Chicago on a community organizer's salary was a nice trick. Who knew "giving back" could be so lucrative.

I bet Obama doesn't really believe he's the change he's been waiting for.

Nonono, you've got it all wrong. We're the change he's been waiting for.

One simple explanation: no strings attached. He probably has attempted extramarital affairs before, and he probably had girlfriends who were obsessive + begging him to leave his wife.

I'm confused. Is he the only politician running for office?
