At one point I had every Zeppelin album, every VH album, and every AC/DC album on tape. Didn't get all those on CD though.

At BYU in the mid 90's it seemed like everyone owned the following albums:

The Eagles Greatest Hits 1971-1975
AC/DC Back in Black
U2 The Joshua Tree
Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits
Bob Marley Legend

I think I had everything that both of your brothers owned. They must be about my age (teenagers in the mid and late 80's?). I think you have to throw Pyromania in the list. Also, I think the most universally owned cd is Bob Marley "Legend". I don't think I know anybody who hasn't owned it at one time in their life.
