Oh wait that is exactly what Chad Ford does.
Didn't know that about Ford. But I do know that Peter Vescy hates him so he has to be a good guy.

I have a soft spot for Chad Ford just because I'm good friends with his brother.

He went 37th, which is fairly early 2nd round. And I'm suspicious that Ford does like to give BYU players the benefit of the doubt and help bump them if at all possible.

I hadn't seen a mock draft with Plaisted in the first round, this was the first I'd seen, so I figured I'd post.

And speaking of the 2003 draft, it was quite a draft.

The top 5 produced 4 consistent All-Stars in Lebron, Carmello, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. Any other year any of those guys could have been a #1 overall pick and would have been successful #1's.

Add to that players like Kirk Heinrich, Travis Outlaw, Chris Kaman, TJ Ford, David West, Boris Diaw, Leandro Barbosa, and Josh Howard in the first round and it's a pretty deep draft.

In the 2nd you have guys like Mo Williams, Kyle Korver, Luke Walton, Jason Kapono and Steve Blake who all are rotation players on their teams and it's a deep draft.

Speaking of deep drafts, check out 1996's:

Three MVPs (Iverson, Nash, and Bryant), plus guys like Camby, Marbury, Ray Allen, Antoine Walker, Stojakovic, Jermaine O'Neal, Ilgauskas, and Fisher, not bad.

That's a decent draft, but I'll raise you the '84 draft:

Hakeem
MJ
Barkley
Stockton

and others are

Alvin Robertson
Otis Thorpe
Kevin Willis
Sam Perkins
Michael Cage
