Default Will Boyd K. Packer ever be the President of the church?

The discussion of Packers' arch conservative stances lately have got me thinking. With where President Hinckley has taken the church in terms of PR, etc, and the likelihood for Monson to continue that pattern, it would seem to be that Packer would be a huge step backwards if he is ever prophet.

He and Monson are about the same age I think (in fact Packer is a few years older IIRC) so it's not out of reason to expect Monson to outlive Packer.

OTOH, people said the same thinga bout ETB but the concerns were proved to be unfounded. The mantle of prophet seemed to really tame him.
