I went to Disneyland one time and it was a miserable time. 3 1/2 to 4 hour waits for one ride...I refuse to wait that long for a ride. Just too many people. We had a lot more fun at Magic Mountain and Universal Studios.

It seems to me that many of you folks that hate Disneyland do so because you don't know how to actually have fun there.
Here are some tips: When riding Pirates of the Caribbean, you need to stand on the edge of the little boat and jump up and down on it in order to get it off the track so it can be capsized. When riding Space Mountain, you need to have a pocketful of gummy worms that have been there all day so they're nice and gooey. Sit in the front of the ride and toss the gummy worms up in the air - not too high - just enough for the folks in the back to enjoy them. Before getting on any of the rides, ask the ride operator if you can see a copy of the blueprints, just to make sure the engineers who designed them were competent. If they don't want to show you the blue prints or claim they don't have access to them, ask them if they are willing to sign an affidavit that states that everything is in perfect working order and if not, they are indeed liable for anything that may happen to you. If/when you get escorted from the park go back to your hotel, fill a large cooler full of water balloons (you folks in Provo can probably find someone there who knows how to fill balloons) and return to Disneyland later that night when the fireworks display is happening and lob the balloons over the fence into the masses. Not that I'd know anything about any of these activities. I just heard that they make your Disneyland vacation more enjoyable.

You know if you are doing So. Cal, San Diego is way more relaxed than the big ugly (LA). Excellent beaches. Maybe the wild animal park. A day trip down to Ensenada/Rosarita. Maybe catch a donkey show in TJ.
I think San Diego is one of the finest cities for a short visit in the US. |

I tend to avoid Los Angeles, but recently went to Pantages theater in Hollywood and saw a musical called Wicked. It was 10x better than I expected and the theater itself was amazing. It was right on the Hollywood Walk of Fame but I only recognized every tenth name or so.

You've obviously never had the gyoza dog at the Disney Sea Park in Tokyo. Think gyoza-flavored pork sausage inside a nikuman bun.

I don't know what's wrong with you people...
I love Disneyland. I am an annual passholder, and so I only got in the evenings for a few hours at a time, which does make a big difference though. You need to know what time of year to go too. If you go during the busy times you'll hate the place, you try a nice weekend in February or March and the lines are really short. Of course I did accidentally show up for "gay days" last year on accident. I couldn't believe crowded it was. We walked in, made it all the way to New Orleans square, caught the train back to the main entrance and left.
