I think assuming that more women will be exaltation-worthy is a bad assumption.

Why would you assume that?

I don't believe that one gender is morally superior to the other.

I think it's a bad assumption to think that there will be 1,203,303,404 exaltation-worthy males and 1,203,303,404 exaltation-worthy females. There will be an imbalance in one direction or the other; hence the need for plural marriage. Do you believe there will be exactly the same number of each sex in the celestial kingdom?

An exalted female with god-like powers (i.e., omnipotence) should have the ability to create an exaltation-worthy companion for herself. Otherwise, her reward for being faithful and playing by the rules is to share a spouse with others?

Are you equating creation with producing something out of nothingness?

Default Plygs in the CK

If consenting adults want to practice polygamy in the CK, more power to them. It is heaven afterall and if all parties want to get a little freak on, I say let 'em. However, I do not believe that polygamy is a requirement for entry into the CK.

The only way that polygamy could possibly be a requirement for the CK is

1. There is greater than a 2:1 ratio of one sex over another

and/or

2. There is spouse sharing/swapping

I've heard nothing that would indicate either does or will exist. A willingness to practice polygamy probably is a requirement, even if there's a chance you may not actually be required to practice it.

The fact that temple sealings of men to multiple women exists (even today, in the case of deceased spouses) seems to me to suggest that there will be.

I'm not opposed to the proposition of a 'figuring-out' by God in the end, and that polygamy won't be practiced thereafter.

You are assuming your personal moral values translate perfectly into the next life, which is arrogance at it's finest.

It's highly possible that 'sharing one's spouse' won't have the same connotations in the CK as it does in this life.

I am currently sealed to two living women.

So there.

One will certainly make the celestial kingdom before I do. The other, I certainly hope doesn't make it.
