One of the individuals mentioned in the article, Clark Pingree, ran for and lost BYUSA President while I was there. Very nice guy, except now I guess he had to go and become gay. I think he is related to the old RS counselor.

Huh. One of the Pingree daughters used to be in my ward. She and her husband were very nice.

Like I've said before, I have good information that someone we all would recognize as a minor figure in Mormonania, is gay. But since he has not yet outted himself, I wont' say who it is.

Thank Mike and YOhio. Interesting article. This is interesting to me from another angle. I think that as this ramps up you are going to see some very vocal opposition from inside the church. I am genuinely curious to see whether this will be tolerated or not. I personally think that a round of excommunications on a high profile issue is not the kind of publicity the church wants. it will be interesting to see.
