Those 2 back-to-back penalties on Bright really put BYU behind the 8-ball on that next-to-last posession. That posession was BYUs best chance to tie the game. It was the last chapter in a long, sad, frustrating night of penalties most of which made no sense at all(mental errors).

The last two penalties highlighted the penalty problems. When you think about it though, defense is what lost this game and I don't think they had any.

Why are we seeing so many offensive line penalties?

Almost all of Hall's interceptions come on throwing to the sideline, and two have resulted in TDs. The tipped ball by receiver interception shouldn't actually count as an interception IMHO.
I don't put the 2nd INT on Hall....Manase Tonga short armed it cause he saw and heard foot steps.

I'm very impressed with Hall's progress thus far. In spite of those Cougar fans on suicide watch right now, Hall is ahead of schedule for a guy that's only played 3 games in 4 years.

I don't think he can do both either. But it isn't because he doesn't do work on Sundays...

So should we add 8 more columns to the stats sheet?
Receiver caused INTs, QB had really bad gas that day INTs, Sun was in his eyes INTs, OC called the wrong play for the defense INTs, QB didn't audible into the right play and had a mild knee flu INTs, Tackle's grandma is sick in the hospital and didn't block well so QB was hurried into making a bad throw INT.

Archaea is right in regards to Halls INTs coming on out routes, i pointed that out early in fall camp that all of his INts in fall camp were on out routes as well. He doesnt have the arm strength to throw the ball on an out route to the far side of the field, that is no fault of his own its probably the hardest throw in football to make.

An inside slant is not an "out route", which is what the UCLA pick was. The Tulsa pick was into double coverage on one pass and the other was tipped by Tonga directly over the middle.
