Yes, and that's a general philosophy versus the actual specifics of a given situation.

I'm just saying it doesn't do any good to blame the game on a certain specific situation while at the same time the coach and AD are actively pursuing the same strategy in the future.

tough MWC schedule. ROTFLMAO.

Unbelievable.

Bronco is a small thinker. He and Holmoe are going to lead BYU to major football prominence....in the wasatch front. Maybe his goal is to someday do an ad for a SLC car dealership.

This game was scheduled due to the NCAA allowing a 12th game. Socal is correct, we had the schedule filled out for this year 4 or 5 years ago, last year when the NCAA allowed that 12th game, BYU had to scramble to find someone, the only open date they had available was Oct. 20th. The only team that fit in that slot was EWU.

Utah state will fill this slot in the future which i am fine with. I have no problem playing 2 BCS schools, a decent non-bcs school, and Utah state.

It sounds a little fishy that it went down exactly like this. I know we've had a lot of shuffling with the schedule with Crowton dropping the LSU series and another Pac 10 series (UCLA?) and adding Nevada/Tulsa last minute and dropping/adding USU. Adding a 12th game affected everyone, not just BYU. And I believe conf games are scheduled after each team turns in their OOC schedule, so it's odd that we would be left with only one open date to fulfill.

Well we had two open dates, except one fell on conference weekend so we chose not to play. Which left us scrambling.
