You are right, sir. From IMDB:

"Diesel is scouting locations and working out a script in Greek, Latin and Punic "

Is Punic similar to Hebrew since I thought the Phoenicians were originally in that general area?

Punic, as I understand it, is the Carthaginian version of Phoenician, which is semitic in origin, but the precursor to the Greek alphabet. I understand it's a Semitic language but other than that, I know not.

Augustine's Native tongue was Punic, and that's why he recognized Hebrewisms in the Latin Bible, because he spoke no Hebrew.

I think it ouwl be more liekly to look like the old SNL routine where Belushi acts like hercules (Ithink it was Hercules) and they do a pretend dubbed translation. Very amusing, but amusing is not what you are looking for with this story.
