It is a strange article. Why should anyone outside the Mormon church care if Romney has upset Mormons by things he's said about Mormons. What a frivolous, impertinent observation, and I agree it's unfounded. I'd say he's a little out of his field. He needs to stick to the winning points. Maybe he's speaking to Evangelists, making the point that Romney isn't a "Christian."

BTW, they recently had a sympathetic article about Hitchins in the New Yorker. But one thing he discussed candidly is that he drinks, a lot, all the time, including when he writes. He's a hard core alcoholic, by his own admission. You or I would be wiped out by how much he throws down in a morning, but he says it doesn't affect him.
