I was impressed, too. But this is interesting. You know that story that was so moving? The one about the Communist prison guard secretly a Christian, scrawling a cross in the sand on Christmas Day? There's evidence that McCain ripped it off from a Russian dude.

The story is one claimed by Solzhenitsyn, Russian author and former political prisoner. His story has been published several times, originally in th early 70s. The only one I can find full text is a newer retelling, in this book, on page four.

Coincidentally enough, John McCain just wrote a piece about Solzhenitsyn the other day. hmm...

Obama is only good when he uses his priesthood voice.

Solzhenitsyn just died a couple of weeks ago. The Economist had a pretty big write-up on him, in addition to the weekly obituary.

McCain in a debate will outshine Obama. Obama doesn't know what he really thinks or if he does, he's afraid of saying what he really thinks. His answers were very calculating.

Obama, along with all the other liberals, do want the marriage issue to remain a 'state's' issue. That way some gays can run off to CA or MA, get married and return to their state and then file suit. Using driver's licenses as a prime example of how a license issued in MA/CA is valid in the other 49 states. It's a great strategy which I predicted over 2 years ago.

If you are really opposed to gay marriage, you would pass a national law, much like civil rights, etc. Can you imagine the outcry if civil rights were a state issue?

Excellent strategy. One I endorse 100% for those on that side of the issue.

Californians vote against gay marriage and the gays go to court and usurp the will of the people. I'm good........ain't I? LOL

The problem I have with Obama is he is a constantly moving target. He is for taxing earning over $250,000 for SS payroll taxes and then he is for it, but not for 10 years. Capital gains is going to 28% and now it is about 20%. He loves his pastor and church and couldn't disown them and then he does.

I wouldn't be so afraid of him if he had a republican congress to keep him in check, but he doesn't. My good heck, do you people realize 3rd in line for the Presidency is Nancy Pelosi. How the heck did such a liberal from San Francisco get so powerful. Anyone think she really represents America's values. She represents Northern Calif. values. Those values have a right to be represented, but that close to the Presidency.

If Obama is as liberal as his record shows prior to the last few months and Pelosi weilds the power she does, there is no end to that type of damage together they could hoist on the American people.
