Yup...That's because it irritates the hell out of me when a patient complains that they can't afford their kid's antibiotics (or their BP medicine or freakin tylenol) and almost without fail, I glance down at the chart to note that they're smoking a pack a day. Let's see--Walmart prescription at $4...can I give up a day of smoking? Nah....

Sorry to be so predictable.

I swear.

I love all y'all, and I'm happy for your collective success, but I'm convinced most of the guys on this board have no idea how the other half live. And by the other half I mean the other 85%.

There aren't many more annoying things than liberals who cry from their ivory towers the horrors of the poor without ever descending to actually meet them, and then telling those of us who actually work with them how things "really" are.

of tobacco = $>$120..........excluding beer. I've seen some folks in the ER with their kids and continually step outside to smoke. But they don't have money to see a doctor or buy 'stuffy' medicine? You're out of touch!

Jesse Jackson is on Cougarguard. The same JJ who's power comes from keeping those who are down, down.

Your presumption is quite remarkable, if I may say so from my ivory tower.
