If people can put em up she can take em down. She pays her hoa dues like other members of the community. The guy yelling at her was not from the neighborhood so I am not sue why he thought had the right to object.

Interesting, though: I noticed there were police stationed at my precinct. I was wondering what kind of unrest the could possibly be expecting.
They escorted ONE of them away. Sheesh! But don't let the facts get in the way of making your point.

Can you read? They were escorted away individually, as in one at a time. That still means both were removed.

Here's an idea. Have her put up a No On Prop 8 sign. You see, she is trying to limit speech by taking it down. Why not showcase an opposing viewpoint with another sign?

Regarding the guy........free speech. But you won't have to put up with that notion much longer.

One lived in the complex and they did NOT remove him. The guy with the nigh stick, they did.

Can YOU see, read and hear?

She does have a no on 8 sign on her car and in our yard. There are no political signs in any neighborhood common areas. It is is actually a provision in the HOA CCRs. So I am not sure the guy's so-called freedom of speech extends to putting up signs on private property.

Nice try though.

I can see only 9 of the 15 posts in this thread because I am utilizing the ignore feature. It greatly reduced the meaningless jibberish from the thread, allowing a more streamlined and relevant read. I suggest the rest of you give it a try.

That's my campaigning for the day.

Then the HOA should take it down. She took it down because she is highly emotional about the entire conflict. Probably feels bad that her Church told her to do something that she doesn't want to do.

Which one of you two has a family member or friend who is gay and believes this is more of a discrimination issue vs. moral issue?

That was a waste of a post. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. Are you a monkee?

AS you have almost certainly noticed, it is pretty easy to find idiots on both sides of a contested issue like this. I am nto sure if you are trying to make a larger point based on this anecdote or not. If so, I can counter with some similar anecdotes on the other side of the issue. In my mind, however, apart from the lack of tact exhibited by someone swearing at anyone over some campaign signs and the sympathy I feel for your wife for being so subjected, these osrts of stories have very little bearing on the merits of the issue.
