Thank you Jeff. This is why I like this poll. They actually watch the games, do research on these teams and don't just look at a box score Sunday Morning.

The coaches poll is probably the biggest joke out there. Do you really think that the coaches that are voting week in and week out are actually watching these games?

Well, these guys had texas ranked ahead of Tech before last Saturday. So I guess this poll is a joke too. Who are these "consultants?" A bunch of guys with purple noses and red faces that get together in some casino bar every Tuesday over scotch and fill out their ballots on a cocktail napkin? That's what I'm picturing anyway.

By the way, no offense to 3D, but applying JL's standard, I think Florida would beat USC. Just a feeling. But I think most experts agree with me, not the purple nosed consultants. (BTW, I loath the SEC and wish no good on it.)

I think right now, Texas, Tech Texas, Florida, and maybe the crappy Sooners could drill SC, no question. But I also think SC could beat them, as well.

On a neutral field, I think BYU could beat USC......lol, ok sorry, i couldnt say it with a straight face.

LOL. No you don't get it. If 3D and virtually the whole nation agrees with me that USC isn't no. 1, a point spread favoring USC against, say, Texas or Florida (two teams the whole nation believes is better than USC), wouldn't stand for long. Would it, my math genius friend. This poll is gimmick. It says "Las Vegas" and "consultants" so it's supposed to be special. It's not. It's a tease from a bunch of drunkards.

Not so fast my friend....

I didnt say I didnt think SC could beat those teams. I said that I agree that those teams could beat SC. I also clarified that I think SC could definitely beat all of them. SC has proven that it plays big in the BCS bowl games.

Just because you are ranked somewhere doesnt mean that a lower ranked team cannot beat you. It simply means that the likelihood of a loss is less.

Are you deliberately saying "not so fast my friend" and then saying not a blessed thing that contradicts me?

"Not so fast my friend" is a pop culture reference to Lee Corso on GameDay. Sorry, forgot who I was dealing with.

You are implying that I agree with you that SC doesnt deserve the ranking. I am saying that I never agreed to any such thing.
