The rating was 34 and it's raised to 37.

The rating opinon that I like best, is 48% of respondents now believe the US is making progress in Iraq.

With the benefit of hindsight, is there anyone who would vote to invade Iraq if we could 'go back and do it all over again'? Has toppling Saddam's regime been a good return on investment?

I was in favor of the invasion originally. I am also in favor of staying and doing our best to support those whom we've committed to support. But it seems clear to me now that this war has done little for the security of the United States. It seems clear to me now that Saddam did not pose the threat we believed that he did. It appears that more significant threats such as Iran and N. Korea will now be more difficult to address because of Iraq.

One could argue that at least we are killing Al Qaeda away from our home soil. But I'd argue that we were already doing that in Afghanistan.

Is Bush getting the dead cat bounce? I think that this is the most likely scenario. As of about now he is Mr. Irrelevant except for fundraising for the midterms.

Having said that I don't think this election will be a watershed election that will be nationalized and I see slim to no chance of the Democrats retaking either chamber of Congress.
