Far Side - Its not even close. This one wins hands down. I have a daily calendar on my desk and have to really control myself not to look ahead each day.
Zits - Maybe a little too true to life.
Peanuts - A lot of nostalgia with this one.
Family Circus - Those cute little kids get me everytime.
Beattle Bailey - Has its moments, but is still a bit of stretch to put it on the same list as Far Side.

I just don't get people's love of Dilbert. Maybe its that I've never worked in an office setting, but I have yet to read a Dilbert comic that has made me really laugh.

Having worked in a cubicle definitely helps make Dilbert funnier.

No Calvin and Hobbes love?

Worst one of all time: Family Circus. My bro used to do this hilarious bit mocking the four or five mainstay options the Family Circus always used.

The tracks through the neighborhood
The Who did it? "Not me" as the ghost

can't remember the others...

1. Peanuts
2. Calvin & Hobbes
3. The Far Side
4. Bloom County
5. Doonesbury

Cyanide and Happiness is hilarious.

If you think Peanuts and Family Circus are funny then you probably get a kick out of Ziggy and Garfield too. You know you are an old fart when you find yourself laughing at Ziggy.

My list:

1. The Far Side - agree with you 100% here
2. Calvin and Hobbes
3. Foxtrot
4. Dilbert

I can't think of a 5th one that I like well enough to put on the list. Doonesbury sucks. That is all.

Far Side and Calvin & Hobbes are IMO in the top tier

2nd tier: Dilbert

Lowest Tier: Cathy, Family Circus, For Better or Worse (although this one only tries to be funny 1/2 the time, it fails miserably when it tries, plus my impression is it is based in Canada), and Born Loser. I am probably forgetting a few. The comics page is a minefield of crappy strips. I'd rather eat a Rocky Crap Sandwich than read these lowest tier comics on a daily basis.

I read Pickles sometimes just because he is from Idaho Falls.
