I have only watched an AF-BYU game with and AF fan once and he was the most obnoxious fan ever. Even worse was he was one of these loud obnoxious types that couldn't even tell you the name of a player on their roster. I left at half time.

Yes, there are many Ute fans who do that. That is a fact. But it is also a fact that you spend far too much time obsessing about it.

I have a coworker who is an AFA graduate and he is pretty obnoxious. He went to AFA during the late-70's and early-80's and he despises BYU. He is the type that has really, really thin skin on this issue, which makes it a lot more fun to give him grief.

When BYU and Utah hired an attorney to try and get the MTN on tv, I printed out the article and left a sticky note saying,
"Dear AFA, UNM, CSU, Wyo, UNLV, TCU, and SDSU:

You're welcome for carrying the water for this conference. Not only do we provide the only athletic programs which generate television interest, we are also now providing you with the opportunity to freeride our efforts to find distribution. Please feel free to join us in either effort.

He was pretty pissed and started blabbering about how this is an example of why everybody thinks BYU is obnoxious, blah, blah blah. It was priceless.

He's also funny about the church. Despite evidence to the contrary, he insists that the church lifted the ban on caffeinated beverages because it owns Coca-Cola.
