It's the audio file format (*.mid) used by the majority of cell phones. I have that particular sequence in midi format if that is what you are hunting for.

taken from the actual song? It starts about 1min 36 seconds into the song. If that is it that thats the one. Thanks.

It's the entire song. You could download a free midi editor and clip out the part you want. Boardmail me an e-mail address if you want it.

I actually have a midi library of 7771 songs that a friend sent to me. Everything under the sun. If someone wants to post an FTP address, I could upload it.

Some midi clips sound pretty good and some don't. For example, the opening to AC/DC Thunderstruck makes a great ringtone. The Money for Nothing clip is just so-so.

I used to have a phone that supported MP3 ringtones. That's the ideal scenario.

What is the "real song"? And what do you mean by "ipod format"? AC3? MP3?

What format does your phone support? Most phones only support midi format.
