I've never noticed anywhere but TBS, but it does seem like most of the times TBS is reporting something stupid, it involves Poly athletes.

Like Vai Sikahema and Haloti Ngata. Stupid Vai. Apparently, he doesn't understand Polys either.

That's a BYU-centric view of it. Wouldn't he rather piss off his rival than the school he'll be attending? He just committed to Utah but did it in a way that totally disrespects their academics. Doesn't make sense. I think he told the TBS reporter what he wanted to hear and didn't comprehend he was speaking to the world.
He is probably thinking football. He probably thinks most of the rival fans are just like me. They couldn't give a crap about what a kid says about academics.

When the article was first written on the kid, my response was. The spirit things are great for him and his family. As for me, what kind of a football players is he. I don't get excited over the spiritual and academic stuff. I am a BYU football fan.

Ah yes the old standby of BYU fans, with absolutely zero proof to ever back it up.

Zionslion is far from a good source for your claims. He is interested in two things only and that is the success of BYU football and subscriptions to his site. Everything is filtered through that self interest, and it will never be a deficiency in BYU why a recruit chooses elsewhere.

He is not a journalist in any way, shape or form. His embarrassing article about So'oto and Hooks proves it without any doubt.

So since Talo isn't a good source and his source in this instance is a UTE website reporter....does that mean then Tom Cella lied to Talo then about what Siliaga said on the main reason why he changed his mind? That being academics.

If I here it from Tom himself I'll believe it. I don't trust hearsay from Talo regarding a BYU recruit. Like I said his loyalties make him a source that is not credible. I am not necessarily saying the Ute guys are more credible, but if they say something against interest for a Ute player I'll believe it. Now if Talo said something negative about a BYU player, I would believe it because it goes against his interest.

So the answer is then yes...You're calling Tom and Talo liars. Okay.

I haven't heard Tom say it so I am not calling him a liar. What I am saying is that Talo's statement is hearsay, and heavily influenced by his bias and is thus not reliable evidence. If Tom said it I would believe it, because it is a statement against his interest.

Talo will put a positive BYU spin on everything, because he is a huge fan and he knows what sells subscriptions. So I don't trust a damn thing he says regarding BYU players, or anything he says that is anti-Ute.

Well of course you don't trust him, as most Yewt "fans" would not. Email Tom and ask him and see what he says...therefore if Talo passed along what Tom told him, then obviously you'd have let your trust level go up a bit.

Honestly, I'm just joshing around a bit, I'm happy for Sealver and hope he finds the right situation for him. These kids are under a lot of intense pressure and it can't be easy.
