I can't remember if you've read "Ghost Soldiers" yet or not. Excellent book. WWII book about the Bataan Death March and Rangers rescue mission into one of the camps. The only problem is its not exactly a "summer" book, but more of a weekend book. It's that easy to read.

Mark Bowden, the author of Blackhawk Down has a new book coming out this summer that sounds quite interesting. It's called "Guests of the Ayatollah" and is an in depth look at the Iran hostage crisis. The guy does his research and it should be a compelling read.
