Mike,

A individual who you and I knew in high school has adopted 2 kid (that I know of ) the parents are white and both of their children are minorities. One is black the other hispanic.

Not true. I know a dude who is obese and so is his wife. They are receiving a kid from China shortly.

I remember listening to some NPR program about China restricting foreign adoptions. Obesity was going be to one of the new restrictions on the adoptive parents. Also, people on anti-depressants were not going to be able to adopt and I think they were going to limit single parent adoption. Perhaps these restrictions haven't gone into effect yet?
