This was a severe fracture of the tibial plate, requiring surgery. Of course, I've grossly simplified the facts. Post-operatively, compartment syndrome here was a significant risk, and the doctor didn't test for it.

Additional complications included leaving significant necrotic tissue during a debridement because the doctor couldn't fully distinguish the demarcation between the necrotic and the healthy tissue.

Like I said, you're in a better position than me to judge this case. I'm just being grumpy.
