The question was,if God told you. If God tells me something I am absolutely doing it unless once I get to know God I find out he isn't as powerful and all knowing as I believe him to be.
You have way too much trust in your faculties. That's a dangerous characteristic, especially for a man of your advanced age.

The process of verifying it's actually God telling you to do this outweighs the rest of the process because this has happened so many times and it's 99.9% of the time not God. So basically it would be impossible for you to know it's God and you're not making yourself crazy. If an independent auditor or something proved it was God, then maybe you'd do it. But that also nullifies SU's poll because his underlying assumption is that you don't know for sure if it's God or not.

Nothing about SU's terrifying poll implies that there is a question about whether it is or is not God doing the ordering. The question is simple and straightforward. You are reading into it terms not expressed or implied. If you mean that knowing SU as we do he would assume one is crazy, that is probably correct, but then you wouldn't answer the poll because, after all, it would be too scary.

As I have come to discover over the last 4 years, that very thing is the essence of Jay Santos.

Except for the part about checking yourself into an insane asylum.

Plus, based on the context of the previous discussion, I read that into the poll, as well. So I guess SU, Santos, and I must have all misread it.

I guess I confused the answer with the question, as it appears that they are the same. If "God" asked SU something, he proabbyl would check himself into the asylum, but that wouldnt' mean God didn't do it, but maybe it's just me. Reasonable minds, differ, blah blah ,blah. SOrry about that.

I know of no way to possibly know with surety that it would be God telling me that. So answering it under the assumption that it is known it is God is an additional assumption to the poll that would preclude the option of insane asylum. That's my take.

I guess I should have made it clear I would have tested God before I believed it was he and did what he told me. He would have had to grant me three wishes. If I could have gotten those 3 wishes , then I guess I could have been deceived by the grantor if it wasn't God.

Do you mean God would check himself into insane asylum for attempting to command SU to do something?
