I can sniff a fake spiritual AP from a mile.

Those elders were spiritual idiots.

Yes, but I also pointed out that word on the street was that I was there for the Pres. to keep an eye on me.

If that was the reason, I was ok with it, because I got to drive the brand new 1985 Alfa Romeo Giulietta. A sweet ride, it was.

My little brother was called to the Toulouse, France mission last week.

I'm debating whether I should share this with him.

I worry.

It's good to worry about kid brothers, but holding back facts isn't the way to go about it. Miscommunication and misinformation are a pervading theme in this story, no?

There's nothing in this story inherent to France, except perhaps that missionaries are more likely to stray when the work is slow. It could have happened in many other locales.

BTW, I did two years in the Marseille mission.

Tex is onto something here. It's an interesting narrative, but very sloppy history. Scant mention of sources, methods, context, pertinent bibliography . . . . but at least it uses the word 'ken' twice and spells "Marseille" correctly (without an s on the end).

My brother has been called to preside over a French-speaking mission beginning July 1. He believes the possibilities are limited to Paris, Toulouse, Tahiti and the Ivory Coast.

I have informed him that the odds we'll visit him during the next three years are exactly 75%.

If it turns out to be Toulouse, your bro will be in good hands, despite the troubling familial connection.

If he heads to Tahiti, odds have increased dramatically that I might have to meet your brother and remind him how much the card you are.

This would make a good movie. Who wants to write the screenplay?
