Why do you continue to believe a proposal is necessary?

It is my perception that the economy stress is so bad, people are no longer worrying about health care but instead are mostly concerned about finding work or income, and will let health care slide because they can't afford to focus upon health care.

At least here in the southwest, health care has taken a big back seat to the economy. And yes, I'm aware of Obama's spin that somehow government will magically create savings which somehow magically improves the economy. I don't buy that bs, but that's another matter. That argument misses the real crux, people need jobs now and the prospective of future income. Health care is a luxury in those circumstances, not a necessity.
