Allen - loser Huckabee - crazy Crist - not that conservative and I'd never heard of him Gingrich - fun to listen to, but . . . ugh Santorum - loser Hutchinson - why? This must be your (as in Dem Party) dream team. I'm hoping we can do better.

The reason the VP choices are so bad is the same reason that the presidential choices were so bad.

In the end, though, people vote for the President, not the VP. I don't think it adds as much to the ticket as folks think. The best thing to do is not pick a liability (see: Geraldine Ferraro, Dan Quayle).

With respect, you are not the audience those choices would be intended to reach.
The guys on the Corner are suggesting Coburn is a leading possibility, conservative senator from Oklahoma.

Coburn probably has rough edges, but stands for integrity and transparency in govt.. I still don't see how he adds to the ticket, since McCain has been a champion of similar things. |

I doubt he'll end up picking her, but he'd be foolish not to at least consider it, despite what some people would call "transparent."
