I would be a fool not to come down on the side of my son, and a fool to think that I can't be replaced with someone more talented and dedicated than myself.

You're joking, right?

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Trying to see if I can match Waters' level of acrimony. I think I'm just not up to the task.

None, although I'm missing two days this week for cub scout day camp (I'm a den leader). I'm sort of my own boss, so I don't get official "vacation" time - I just put down in the calendar whenever I'm not going to be in.

also in the contest of who will man the fort the longest before destruction--

my son attends a school that literally only has probably 2 white kids. As in, I've never seen a white kid there, but since I saw a white parent at a PTA mtg, there might be 2.

And my neighborhood is predominantly white. That should tell you something about who has fled, and who has not.

Game theory tells me that it is not in my interest to stay.
