Wow. Just wow.

I'll repeat - and try to explain it a bit better to you. Tithing is voluntary. I don't have to pay it, but I choose to pay it. You don't have to pay it. You won't be breaking the law of the land if you don't pay tithing.

Taxes, on the other hand, are not voluntary. I have to pay taxes or suffer the consequences.

Get it?

And I'm guessing that you really don't want to help those who are unwilling to pay for their own health care, because you apparently don't want to pay enough to make up for what I would have to pay. You're all talk. You want to put my money where your mouth is, but don't want to put your money where your mouth is.

How many people without insurance are actually left to die. It is the quality of health care that is at issue. If Joe Smoe deserves the same quality as I can afford, then why doesn't he deserve the same house as I do.

That's on the money. The rich pay for the poor's police protection, which is often greater since they don't have houses to protect them, and the rich pay for the poor's streets and subways, which they sleep on/in. All this BS about the rich not wanting to pay for the poor's healthcare is just disingenuous.

So Cali, will Obama lead with "I'm gonna raise your taxes to pay for all this nifty stuff" during his winning campaign? Or will that be in the fine print?

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

I pay taxes which go to pay for infrastucture and protection that I may some day need. If it goes private, I'd be willing to pay for it if I needed it as well.

I own property and I can and will protect if needs be. The guns I own aren't exclusively made for hunting.

Ah, yes. The Democrats are going to spend us into oblivion!!!!

Nevermind the fact that the greatest additions (by FAR) to the national debt came during Reagan's and Bush II's administrations, and during Bush II's administration, he did it with his party controlling both houses of Congress.

But fear the Democrats!!! They want our money to help poor people! The tyranny! What ever happened to just giving it to rich people and corporations? Those were the good ol' days before the Dems ruined everything.

Obama says on his website that he'll cut taxes for the middle class. That will make it awfully difficult to provide health care for all.

Honest question Cali - and don't be afraid to answer it:

How much are you, personally, willing to pay to help others? Are you willing to pay double or triple the amount you pay now?

The fine print is that he will raise taxes on the "rich". Of course, the definitoin of middle class and rich will be highly entertaining.
